Barber Temple Warranty & Temple Tool Guarantee

Our warranty policy is designed to keep you working without downtime. We keep things simple, fair, and transparent—no hidden catches or legal run-arounds.

1. Australian Consumer Law (Your Legal Rights)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Everything outlined below is in addition to your legal rights under Australian Consumer Law.

2. Tier 1: Standard Warranty (Included Free on Every Tool)

Every electrical tool purchased through Barber Temple is backed by standard warranty protection.

• Coverage Period: 12 to 24 months, depending on the manufacturer's stated term for that specific tool.
• What’s Covered: Genuine factory defects, internal electrical faults, motor failure, charging/battery issues, and faulty switches.
• How It Works: Lodge your claim through the Barber Temple online portal with your order number, serial number, and a short video showing the issue. We review it, issue a return authorisation, inspect the tool in-house, and arrange a repair or replacement.
• Assessment Time: Standard handling takes roughly 3 to 5 business days from when the tool reaches our warehouse.
• Return Shipping: Standard return shipping applies at our cost.

3. Tier 2: Temple Tool Guarantee (Optional Paid Add-On)

An optional $17.50 upgrade at checkout designed to provide peace of mind and minimal down-time for working barbers who can’t afford lost chair time.

• Full 24 Months on All Electrical Tools: If a tool only comes with a 12-month factory warranty, Barber Temple covers the second year. You get a full 24 months of electrical defect protection.
• 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If you buy a tool and decide it’s not right for you, (the balance, weight, grip, power) you can return it within 30 days of delivery for 100% store credit or a direct product exchange. (Cash refunds are not offered for change-of-mind).
• Priority 48-Hour Warranty Claim Turnaround: We fast-track your assessment. Once Australia Post delivers your faulty tool to our warehouse, we inspect, test, and dispatch your replacement or repaired unit within 2 business days.
• Free Shipping Both Ways: We email you a prepaid Australia Post label to send the tool back, and express-ship the replacement straight to your door.
• Our Turnaround Promise: If we fail to assess and dispatch your replacement within 2 business days of receiving your tool, we will automatically refund your $17.50 fee or issue a $17.50 store credit to your account.

4. What Isn't Covered (Under Both Tiers)

Warranties cover manufacturing faults, not trade wear-and-tear or accidental damage. Neither tier covers:

• Consumables & Wear Parts: Blades, foils, and springs wear down with daily cutting. These are regular maintenance items and are not covered unless defective straight out of the box.
• Lack of Maintenance: Burnt-out motors or jammed cams caused by hair buildup, lack of regular blade oiling, or cleaning with unapproved harsh chemicals/water.
• Accidental Drops & Physical Damage: Cracked casings, dented housings, snapped levers, water submersion, or damaged cords from pulling or dropping.
• Tampering: Tools opened, modified, or repaired by anyone other than an authorized technician.

5. Fair Use & Anti-Abuse Rules

To keep the Temple Tool Guarantee affordable for everyone, we have a few simple rules to prevent misuse:

• Single Use per Purchase: The Temple Tool Guarantee covers one claim. Once you use the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee or receive a full tool replacement, that purchase is complete.
• Only Applies to the Linked Purchase: If you swap a tool under the 30-day satisfaction guarantee, the 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies to the original purchase only - it does not apply to the replacement unless purchased for the replacement.
• Applies to individual tools only, not the entire transaction. If multiple tools are purchased in 1 transaction, a Temple Tool Guarantee would need to be purchased for each tool to ensure all tools are covered.
• Condition of 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Returns: To receive full credit or an exchange under the satisfaction guarantee, the tool must be returned clean, sanitized, and complete with its original box and all accessories (guards, dock, cables). Missing accessories will be deducted from your credit at retail value.
