Temple Rewards – Terms & Conditions

Temple Rewards is the loyalty program we offer to reward you when you purchase products from Barber Temple. These Terms & Conditions set out the conditions on which we offer Temple Rewards, and they apply to each Temple Rewards member (“you”) in Australia. By joining Temple Rewards, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. You should read both these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy carefully.

When we refer to Barber Temple (“we” or “us”), we mean Barber Temple Pty Ltd ABN 74 650 735 916.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws in force in Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have exclusive jurisdiction.

If these Terms conflict with any FAQs, emails, or marketing materials, these Terms prevail.


1. Becoming a Temple Rewards Member

1.1 You can apply to become a Temple Rewards member if you hold a Barber Temple Trade Account. Trade Accounts are available to shop owners, managers, barbers, and other industry professionals. Membership is restricted to verified industry professionals only, and we may request proof of eligibility at any time. Temple Rewards is only open to Australian Trade Account holders unless otherwise stated.
1.2 Membership is free. To participate, you must provide us with a valid and unique email address and phone number. You are responsible for keeping your account details up to date and must tell us as soon as possible if these details change. Barber Temple is not responsible for any loss of Temple Rewards benefits if you fail to update or inform us of any change in your email address or mobile number.
1.3 Only one Temple Rewards account is permitted per person. We do not allow joint accounts. Duplicate accounts may be merged or closed at Barber Temple’s discretion. Any bonus points earned through duplicate or fraudulent sign-ups may be removed. You cannot share your membership with other individuals (including family members or household members). We may request identification to verify a member’s identity.
1.4 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. We may audit or require verification of eligibility and may suspend accounts while investigating suspected breaches.
1.5 We reserve the right to refuse membership or terminate an application for any reason.
1.6 By joining Temple Rewards, you consent to Barber Temple handling your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


2. Benefits of Joining Temple Rewards

2.1 As a member, you will have access to various benefits, including:

  • Points – Earn points on eligible purchases and redeem them for discounts or selected products (see section 3).
  • Exclusive offers – Early access to promotions, sales, and new product launches.
  • Bonus rewards – Opportunities to earn additional points for activities such as referring friends, leaving reviews, or following us on social media.
  • Member communications – You will receive exclusive updates about discounts, promotions, and other special offers (see section 7).

2.2 From time to time, Barber Temple may offer additional rewards, gifts, or promotions as part of Temple Rewards. Separate terms and conditions may apply to these offers.
2.3 All benefits are subject to availability and may change at our discretion. Temple Rewards benefits cannot always be combined with other promotions, discounts, or offers. Barber Temple reserves the right to determine eligible combinations.


3. How Do Temple Rewards Points Work?

3.1 Members earn one (1) Temple Rewards point for every one dollar (AUD) spent on eligible transactions at Barber Temple. Points are earned on the final amount actually paid after discounts, credits, or promotions, and excluding shipping, taxes, or other excluded charges. Eligible transactions are in-store and online purchases of merchandise sold by Barber Temple but do not include purchases of gift cards, services, donations, education courses, commercial/bulk orders, purchases via direct debit, or purchases made via third-party marketplaces or channels (e.g., Amazon, eBay).
3.2 Our FAQs contain details about how points are calculated and their value.
3.3 Points are calculated on the final eligible amount and are rounded down to the nearest whole point.
3.4 For online orders, points are allocated after the order (including any pre-orders or backorders) is shipped.
3.5 At our sole discretion, and on notice to you, Barber Temple may update your points balance with additional points as a result of incentives or promotional activities.
3.6 Bonus points may be earned through promotional activities such as:

  • First order welcome bonus
  • Milestone purchases
  • Submitting reviews (only awarded for genuine, verified purchases; inauthentic or duplicate reviews will not qualify)
  • Social media follows/shares (limited to once per platform per member)
  • Referrals of new customers (only valid for genuine first-time customers; self-referrals, duplicate accounts, or referrals from the same household will not qualify)

3.7 Points will not be awarded for:

  • Purchases made before enrollment
  • Orders that are cancelled, returned, or refunded
  • Transactions identified as fraudulent or ineligible

3.8 If you receive a refund for any part of an eligible transaction, we may reverse points that were allocated to you in relation to that refunded product.
3.9 Points have no cash or monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or sold.
3.10 Points will generally appear in your account within a reasonable time after your purchase, though occasional system delays may occur. We reserve the right to correct points balances in the case of system errors, technical faults, or incorrect allocations.
3.11 Once allocated, points can be redeemed:
(a) as a discount off your next purchase at Barber Temple (although you cannot use points to purchase gift cards, special orders, lay-bys, or donations); or
(b) for products available in the Temple Rewards section of the website. Barber Temple reserves the right to exclude certain products, categories (including education, services, or commercial orders), or promotions from redemption at its discretion.
3.12 A minimum of [X] points must be redeemed in a single transaction. Points can only be redeemed in whole numbers.
3.13 Points expire if you do not redeem them by 12:00am (AEST) on the expiry date shown in the “My Rewards” section of your account (approximately 12 months after the date we allocate them to your account). We will notify you by email and/or SMS between approximately 30 and 7 days before your points are due to expire. We are not responsible if you fail to receive expiry notifications due to incorrect contact details or issues with your email or SMS provider.
3.14 Points are not transferrable and cannot be shared with anyone else.
3.15 We may deduct from your balance any points:
(a) credited to your account in error;
(b) relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed, or refunded; or
(c) relating to any suspected fraudulent activity.
We will notify you of any such deductions.
3.16 You can check your points balance at any time by following the instructions in our FAQs.


4. Redeeming Temple Rewards Points

4.1 Temple Rewards points can be redeemed in two ways:

  • As a discount applied at checkout to reduce your order total; or
  • Towards selected products available for redemption.
    4.2 To redeem points, you must be logged into your Temple Rewards account.
    4.3 Redemption thresholds and available products are subject to change at our discretion.
    4.4 Points cannot be redeemed for cash, gift cards, or other excluded items as advised from time to time.

5. Returns and Adjustments

5.1 If you return an order purchased with Temple Rewards points, your refund will equal the amount paid after points were applied. The redeemed points will be credited back to your Temple Rewards account.
5.2 If you return an order that earned points, the corresponding points will be deducted from your account.
5.3 If an order was paid with a combination of points and cash, any refund will be issued in the same proportion (e.g., if you paid $80 cash + $20 worth of points, you will be refunded $80 cash and $20 worth of points).
5.4 If a partial return reduces the order value, any points earned will be adjusted accordingly.
5.5 We may adjust your balance to correct errors or reverse points relating to cancelled, refunded, or fraudulent transactions.


6. Expiry and Forfeiture

6.1 Temple Rewards points expire 12 months after the date they are earned, unless otherwise stated.
6.2 If the Temple Rewards program ends, all unredeemed points and benefits will expire with it.
6.3 Barber Temple reserves the right to terminate memberships and cancel points at its sole discretion if you:

  • Violate these Terms;
  • Engage in fraud, abuse of privileges, or inappropriate conduct;
  • Create duplicate or fake accounts to exploit rewards;
  • Manipulate reviews, referrals, or promotions; or
  • Resell products or otherwise exploit the program.
    6.4 If your account is terminated by you or us, or you opt out of Temple Rewards, all unused points and rewards will be forfeited.
    6.5 Barber Temple may close inactive Temple Rewards accounts (no purchases or logins for 24 months) and forfeit any unused points.

7. Member Communications

7.1 By joining Temple Rewards, you agree to receive Member Communications including promotional emails, SMS, or other messages, unless you opt out.
7.2 Transactional messages relating to your membership (such as points updates, expiry notifications, and program changes) will be sent as part of the program and cannot be unsubscribed from unless you terminate your membership.
7.3 You can update your communication preferences at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided.


8. Termination and Suspension

8.1 You may terminate your Temple Rewards membership at any time by contacting Barber Temple Customer Service.
8.2 We may terminate your membership at any time if you breach these Terms, misuse the program, or engage in fraudulent or inappropriate conduct.
8.3 We may also suspend or discontinue Temple Rewards, or part of it, at our discretion. If suspended, you may not be able to access benefits during the suspension period.
8.4 After your membership or the Temple Rewards program is terminated:
(a) you will be unable to access any Temple Rewards program benefits;
(b) your points balance will be erased; and
(c) we will retain the personal information we hold about you in accordance with our internal policies and legal requirements.
8.5 We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice before suspension or termination, but in some cases (for example, fraud or technical issues) this may not be possible.
8.6 Barber Temple may transfer or assign the Temple Rewards program (including points balances) to a related body corporate or purchaser in the event of a restructure, sale, or transfer of business.


9. Changes to Terms & Conditions

9.1 Barber Temple may update or change these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
9.2 The latest version will always be available on our website. If changes significantly impact your rights, we will notify you via email or SMS.
9.3 Changes to earning or redemption rates will not apply retrospectively to transactions already completed.
9.4 Continued use of Temple Rewards after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.


10. Disputes and Liability

10.1 If you have concerns about your Temple Rewards account, including your points balance, you can contact Barber Temple Customer Service.
10.2 We will investigate complaints in good faith and make a final determination.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
10.4 Barber Temple is not liable for system errors, technical issues, delays, or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).


11. General

11.1 Where we send you notice by email or SMS, it will be deemed delivered on the date it is sent, unless the message is undeliverable.
